Description

This course encompasses four modules designed to provide a comprehensive education on chlorine dioxide. It begins with Module 1: Chemical Basics, establishing the chemical fundamentals necessary to understand the composition and behavior of ClO₂. Module 2: The ClO₂ molecule delves into the specific characteristics of this molecule, including its generation and reactivity. Module 3: CD and CDS explores the preparation, differences and handling of ClO₂ in its activated sodium chlorite (CD) and aqueous solution (CDS) forms, highlighting production techniques, quality control and safety. Finally, Module 4: CDE and CDI examines the interactions of ClO₂ with biological systems, the effects of CDS on the organism and the consideration of CDI in medical contexts. This training not only addresses the chemistry and handling of ClO₂, but also opens the dialogue on its potential and limitations in practical and research applications, encouraging a critical and scientific approach.
